These Terms form a legal agreement between you and Book-A-Bed (operated by GoPGMS) governing your use of bookabed.in and related services (the "Platform").
By creating an account, listing a property, or booking a stay, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who can use Book-A-Bed
- You must be 18 or older and legally able to enter into a contract in India.
- You must provide accurate information and keep it current.
- You may not create more than one account without our written consent.
2. Accounts and KYC
- Guests sign up with a mobile number or email; verification may be required before booking.
- Owners must complete KYC (identity and/or business verification) before any property they list is published. We rely on vendors such as SurePass + DigiLocker for KYC checks.
- You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@bookabed.in if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Using the Platform
Book-A-Bed is a marketplace. We introduce guests to owners. We are not the provider of the accommodation. The contract for the stay is between the guest and the owner.
- Listings — owners are responsible for the accuracy of listings (photos, pricing, amenities, availability).
- Booking requests — when you send a request, the owner may accept or reject it. Beds are held during the pending period and released if the owner declines or you cancel.
- Confirmed bookings — once confirmed, both sides must honor the booking (subject to cancellation rules).
- Communications — messages sent through the Platform may be stored for support, safety, and compliance purposes.
4. Fees and payment
- At present, payment for the stay is arranged directly with the owner after a booking is confirmed. Book-A-Bed does not collect stay payments online today.
- When online payments are enabled, a separate Payment Terms notice and the Refund Policy will apply.
- We may charge service fees to owners, guests, or both. Any such fee will be disclosed before you complete a booking.
5. Cancellations + refunds
See the Refund policy for full details. In summary:
- You can withdraw a pending booking request at any time at no cost.
- Cancellations of confirmed bookings follow the tiered rules in the Refund Policy.
- Owner-initiated cancellations result in a full refund to the guest and may affect the owner's standing on the Platform.
6. Owner responsibilities
- Keep your listing accurate, including pricing, available beds, and amenities.
- Honor confirmed bookings and provide the accommodation as described.
- Comply with all applicable laws — housing, safety, tax, consumer protection. You are solely responsible for your own legal compliance.
- Do not discriminate against guests on the basis of religion, caste, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
7. Guest responsibilities
- Provide accurate personal information, including identity documents when required.
- Treat the property and the owner with respect.
- Follow the owner's published house rules.
- Cover any damage you cause beyond normal wear and tear.
8. Prohibited use
You may not:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
- Upload content that is defamatory, infringing, pornographic, or encourages illegal activity.
- Attempt to circumvent KYC or payment controls.
- Scrape, spam, or otherwise interfere with the Platform's operation.
- Resell or re-list accommodation you do not own or control.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without notice in serious cases.
9. Content, reviews, and IP
- You retain ownership of the content you upload (photos, descriptions, reviews). By uploading, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display and distribute it on the Platform.
- Book-A-Bed owns the Platform's name, logo, design, and software. You may not use these without written permission.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we make no representations about accommodation quality beyond what owners publish in their listings.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Book-A-Bed is not liable for disputes between guests and owners.
- Our aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to the Platform will not exceed the total fees we collected from you in the twelve months before the claim arose, or ₹10,000 — whichever is higher.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by Indian law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Book-A-Bed from claims arising out of your use of the Platform, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
13. Governing law + disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

14. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
